{"id":339,"date":"2016-01-18T11:38:26","date_gmt":"2016-01-18T16:38:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/learningnook.com\/journalinglife\/?p=339"},"modified":"2016-01-18T11:38:26","modified_gmt":"2016-01-18T16:38:26","slug":"weekly-topic-ideas-week-of-january-18-2016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/learningnook.com\/journalinglife\/weekly-topic-ideas-week-of-january-18-2016\/","title":{"rendered":"Weekly Topic Ideas-Week of January 18, 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I don&#8217;t know how it is where you are, but around here it&#8217;s COLD! \u00a0Thermometer was reading zero degrees this morning and is struggling to climb into the single digit range. \u00a0It&#8217;s a good morning to snuggle up under a warm blanket or afghan and write in your journal!<\/p>\n<p>Starting a new journal this week? \u00a0Here are some theme ideas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A weather extremes journal. \u00a0Reminisce or give live updates when the weather is doing unusual things. \u00a0These can be your own stories or your thoughts on unusual weather from other times and places.<\/li>\n<li>A poetry journal. \u00a0Find and read a poem and then respond to it for your entry.<\/li>\n<li>A descriptive writing journal. \u00a0Write down your best descriptions of everyday items that engage all five senses. \u00a0How vivid can you make your writing?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And if your creativity is frozen to the floor, here are some prompts that you can write about this week:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>When was the last time you saw a face in some inanimate object? \u00a0Does that happen to you a lot? \u00a0Does it have any special meaning for you?<\/li>\n<li>Choose a knickknack that you have in your home, and write the story of how you came into possession of it and why it&#8217;s special enough that you keep it around.<\/li>\n<li>What type of weather do you find most soothing? \u00a0Most exciting? Most interesting? Most frightening? \u00a0How often do you experience it where you live now?<\/li>\n<li>What was the last television show that you watched all the way through? \u00a0Why did it keep your interest?
